Defining a Case Study

Stake

Stake (2005) suggests a case study is “both a process of inquiry about the case and the product of that inquiry” (p.444). I am however not sure if I agree that the term case study should also be used to denote the product or end report ... I feel that for the sake of clarity the product should not be called the same as the process but possibly a "case study report".
