Ethics from the perspective of young children -

Very interesting seminar and discussion where Tony Eaude argued for an 'ethic of care' where children are encouraged from an early age to make judgements, and to act, in ways that take account of the context.

I was in agreement with much of what Dr Eaude presented; however, I argue that the weakness of an 'ethic of care' approach is that it is too relativistic and rests on an individual adult's personal morality as opposed to a universal moral code such as that enshrined in Human Rights and Children's Rights, in other words, duty ethics.
