It was a strange mix of anxiety and enjoyment, presenting where I am at in my research journey to the Assessment panel made up of:
Associate Dean Alex Kendall, Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences
Dr Tony Armstrong, Director of Postgraduate Studies in Education
Dr Kate Thomson, Director of Postgraduate Research Degrees for Health
Dr Geoff Hill, Reader in the School of Education
I was elated when I got the email with the report stating that I had progressed and that the panel had enjoyed reading my paper, and my presentation on the day.
When I have a wobble I should re-read the comment:
"you have made commendable progress on your doctoral project"; and
"It is clear that there is a doctoral project here that contains contribution(s) to knowledge and has real potential for impact, both in theory and practice.
