Summary of learning circle 24th May 2018 HELEN LYNDON·THURSDAY, 24 MAY 2018 The focus of today’s session was writing for publication so the EECERA trustees were on hand to offer some sage advice…  When considering writing to a brief  Present ideas to friends first, gain different perspectives, take ideas to conferences  Visualise the wine glass; start broad with your ideas and then narrow in to focus  Add the structure, use subheadings and plan the contents  Consider the grand narrative and then ask yourself- how will I tell this story?  Ask yourself ‘What do I believe about this?’ and then ‘What have I done about this?’ to ensure it is based on praxis Stop and think what you think Always ask yourself how you have included your views – ‘situate yourself in a world of values’  Avoiding procrastination  Take yourself away from distracting environments  Positive reinforcement – how will you treat yourself after the next section?
